Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter.

Quote Mark Izaak Walton

The Grange is set in the small village of Oborne, close to the Dorset and Somerset border. Whilst this means that you may have to traverse a few country lanes to reach us, those lanes will be free from traffic, noisy lorries and hopefully stress!

From the north (A303)

At Wincanton, follow the signposts to Sherborne on the B3145. After several miles, on your left you will see a signpost for Oborne: the turning is opposite a toll house. Follow the lane for 1 mile, The Grange will be on you right-hand side.

A303 Roadworks

Please note that the A303 is closed in both directions between Willoughby Hedge and Mere Carriageway.  Diversions are in place.  The roadwroks will take place from the 15th February for five weeks.  For more information, please visit The Highways Agency website.

From the south (A352)

Follow the A352 from Dorchester. As you approach Sherborne, take the right-hand turning signposted for Sherborne Castle and follow the road past the castle. At the T-junction at the end of the road, turn right onto Oborne Road. Follow the road to the end and turn right at the T-junction onto the single lane A30. Follow the road for about half-a-mile into the village of Oborne and look out for one of our signposts on the left. Take the left-hand turning and follow the road to the end of the village to find The Grange.

From the east (A30)

Follow the A30 from Shaftesbury towards Sherborne. Once through Milborne Port, you will cross a railway bridge and come into the village of Oborne. Look out for one of our signposts on the right. Take the right-hand turning and follow the road to the end of the village to find The Grange.

From the west (A30)

Follow the A30 towards Sherborne. Once through Sherborne, follow the road for about ½ mile into the village of Oborne and look out for one of our signposts on the left. Take the left-hand turning and follow the road to the end of the village to find The Grange.
