A glorious country house built 200 years ago of stone from the Purbeck Hills, situated within its own beautiful, formal gardens
Christmas, children, is not a date. It is a state of mind.
A warm welcome awaits you on Christmas Eve. Spend the afternoon unwinding in the lounge in front of the fire with a good book and a glass of something to take away the winter chill. Dinner in the evening is served in the restaurant overlooking the beautiful floodlit gardens. You might like to enjoy the splendid candle-lit Midnight Mass at nearby Sherborne Abbey; a night cap will await you on your return home in the early hours.
After a restful night's sleep, awake on Christmas morning feeling refreshed and ready for a tempting Grange breakfast. Once the presents are open, why not take a stroll around the pretty village of Oborne before you enjoy a traditional seven-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings. Later, sink into a comfortable sofa for coffee, mince pies and a board game. If this sounds too energetic how about a little snooze in front of the fire? A buffet supper will be served in the evening, the perfect way to round off a wonderfully festive day.
Some people choose to return home on Boxing Day, others stay and enjoy a little more Christmas magic before returning home on the 27th.
