Opera Weekend

Yet again, Oborne is set for a weekend of sublime music – four different performances in two days.  It starts at 3pm on Saturday 23rd March with a performance of Walton’s “The Bear” with Flora McIntosh and Pauls Putnins.  That evening, at 8pm, there will be a concert featuring Wagner’s hugely romantic five songs, the Wesendonck Lieder, sung by Flora McIntosh, together with linked piano pieces played by Kelvin Lim.

The following day sees the wonderfully comic, one-act opera “Rita”, by Donizetti at 3pm.  At 6.30 pm on Sunday there is a concert by the renowned Lee Bisset.  Tickets are £30 per performance or £100 for all four.  Tel. 01935 817194 or email operainoborne@gmail.com

All four performances are held in St Cuthbert's Church, Oborne.

Please note, this event is not organised by the hotel, we are simply helping to spread the word.
